About

Driving Economic Impact through Workforce Development The Tech Talent Partnership is an employer-led initiative designed to fill cyber and IT roles, protecting and empowering Colorado companies and citizens. Traditional hiring processes often overlook valuable talent, so we are committed to unlocking potential by repairing the leaky talent pipeline. By fostering collaboration between employers and the education system, we align education and training programs with industry demands. Together, our goal is to increase economic mobility for more Coloradans, boost economic GDP, and create an evergreen pipeline of reliable, qualified talent for Colorado employers.

TTP History

In May of 2022 the Colorado State Legislature enacted HB22-1350, the Regional Talent Development Initiative Grant Program, also known as Opportunity Now. The $85 million grant program was created to fuel transformative change for Colorado's workforce through industry and education collaboration. ActivateWork received a $1.3 million grant to launch the Tech Talent Partnership.

  • Opportunity Now recipients proposed solutions to deepen intentional alignment and collaboration between Colorado’s secondary, post-secondary, and workforce ecosystems in order to enhance the economic mobility of Colorado’s learners and earners and thereby help Colorado’s communities recover from COVID-related economic disruption.
  • 18 Employer partners joined in 2023
  • Taskforce partners include JeffCo, Adams12, DPS, Arapahoe Community College, CMU, UCD, & MSU
  • 5 Critical Pathways Identified for 2014-2016
